RAQUEL CLARKE
To many, Raquel needs no introduction. Her work as an artist has been much admired over the years, participating in a number of successful group and solo exhibitions, she is best known for her large "wildflower" series of paintings that are carefully executed with heavily textured oils, resulting in a sculpture-like finish.

We are excited that her art is now being exhibited in our main Queenstown gallery, as well as our home gallery and studio space, which can be viewed by appointment at our home.

Lonely Dog Immersive Exhibition - Orlando
In mid 2023,  I traveled to the Grand opening of the new Lonely Dog Immersive exhibition center located on International Drive in Orlando Florida, just down the road from Universal Studios and Disney.
This is a large, five-star permanent stand-alone exhibition venue that caters for events up to 700 patrons and does interactive shows - "where art comes to life"... on the hour,  think walk-around multi-media cinema.
The experience is dedicated to the celebration of the Lonely Dog universe with the LONELY DOG LEGACY ART COLLECTION central to the experience.
This multi-media entertainment event has been produced in collaboration between, Jumping Frog Entertainment (USA) and Centrica, (Italy).
Lonely Dog’s world captivates viewers with the addition of original music and compelling story, along with original music score, 3D CGI and 2D animation!!!!
 
New Lonely Dog Artworks

We are pleased to release some new additions to "the LONELY DOG portrait collection" - 'Kevin Aurelius'  &  'Celia Creme'.
These are available as open edition Giclees, personally signed and printed on museum quality canvas on archival media. Feedback by kind people so far is "Very cool"!!!

We are pleased to finally release a new companion piece to what we affectionally refer to as the "Jacket and Tie" series (image below left).
Lonely Dog has being hugely popular in this simple and stylised format.
Ivan's challenge was to create a simplistic, stylised companion icon that would not only endear, but would be something that could become a beloved trademark for future generations - not easy to do.
 
In-keeping with 'Lonely Dog Jacket & Tie' It needed to have sass and simplicity and contain simple design elements to become accepted as a celebrated motif.  We're sure that 'Nine lives and counting' will sit along side LD to become a recognised pop-art icon.

This new 'reflections' suite of water paintings (shown here curing on the walls amongst Ivan's other works) is a body of works in progress destined for an Australian client. These are painted in a fine but heavy impasto oil on canvas technique, incorporating 24 carat gold leaf that results in a beautiful shimmering effect in changing light.
